Finally get to visit this place after months. It is beatifully decored and quite amazing. Share tables only at short round tables but there are private stalls that looked like an oven (a bit scary).

After being artsy at the Art Central, my friends and I decided to try this new restaurant situated at the bottom of LKF. The environment was very classy and comfy. We started ordering drinks, below is Orange Jasmin and Expresso Martini. Both drinks were amazing!!! Since this restaurant is tapas style, we ordered quite a bit... Anyway, I definitely recommend the Hamachi Tiradito (hamachi sashimi with mango sauce), and the Iberico Pork "Presa" ~ the pork was absolutely amazing!!! Anyhoo, the other items are not bad but not as outstanding as these two.
A place to hang out with your friends! The icecream looks good and tastes good! haha. hmmmm icecream~ :)
Store is located at 26 Cochrane Street in Central. First time here at The Salted Pig at Knutsford. The seating was a bit crowded inside (maybe because we went in group of 15) but in general the decor and environment was quite comfy. From the food we ordered, the portions were pretty big and food was pretty good! This is the sweet chili seafood salad ~ wasn't that spicy (to me) and is quite tasty! Below is Crab on Toast! I really like this one! Snack platter. I believe 2 people can order this as a main and be full~ haha. Sausage platter for two. This one was not that amazing in my opinion. Just sausages, meh. Pork knuckle! Yummy!!! Rub and tickle! this is slow cooked pork belly! was recommended by a friend and yes it was good! Blue swimmer crab linguini was very delicious! i really liked their crab dishes here haha. Seafood Paella. This one is not that amazing either haha. Meh. Overall I think the food is pretty good and everything was in good portions. Some may think the price is a bit on the expensive side but I think is reasonable.
The Salted Pig has 2 locations. www.thesaltedpig.com.hk A wonderful place to spend time at, Kinsale in Kennedy Town. Enjoyed the live music, the food, and the comfortable decor. My coffee could be better but the food was really good. Will definitely see mee come back.
Hehe. Dim sum is so much happier with these panda red bean buns! The chain Superstar Seafood Restaurant 鴻星海鮮酒家 has several animal dim sum items to attract people to the restaurant. I just happen to be hungry and went in to eat, but surprisingly the food was actually pretty good!!! Slightly to the pricy side but good food is what matters!! This is the shrimp toast. 蝦多士. Looks good and tastes good too. Truffle, mushroom dumplings! YUMMMY!!! Bo lor cha siu bao. 菠蘿叉燒包。 Yummy!!
Lately there is a trend to eat lava cakes or half done cake. Last time I had tried the Hanjuku Kobo and it was delicious!! So I decided to try this one branched from Taiwan. Looks wise is not appealing at all. It looked like a failed cake - slumped inwards. Haha this is when I tried to cut it up, the honey filling is oozing out. Doesn't look any more appetizing. Took a bite and I thought the honey flavour was a bit sweet but it wasn't too bad. My sister and mom tried it and didn't like it. I feel the texture was a bit sticky and the whole thing was a bit messy. I don't think I'll buy another one.
Cheng Banzhang located at Lai Chi Kok is sooo popular lately!! It's the busiest industrial building restaurant I've visited. I took a waiting number 96 and they were only calling 56... Anyway, I waited a bit then realize many people leave so the numbers went quite quickly but I still had to wait about 45-50min. The restaurant's atmosphere is quite different than normal HK restaurants, it's more like a canteen. I liked the beef noodle but honestly it wasn't SUPER great and the minced meat rice didn't make such a good impression. I also liked the red bean soup, it was quite refreshing to me. I'd recommend this place because there are some dishes that I couldn't find else where, like the beef roll, red bean soup, and winter-melon tea. Not a bad place to buy take out dinner home to eat.
Click here for open rice link. 半熟工房 Hanjuku Kobo cheese cakes are being advertised everywhere! Many magazines and bloggers have already published or wrote about these cakes. They can be found at Hoixe Cake Shops (selected ones) and can be ordered through whatsapp (check their FaceBook: ) I got these at Kwai Fong station's Hoixe without pre-ordering. Anyway, these "half cooked" cheese cakes are quite delicious!! I never thought the cake can be so soft and light!! The cheese/green tea taste is perfect for me because its not too strong. My brother said it can be stronger but I like them they way they are. Price wise, I think its a bit expensive.. comes to about HKD$15 a piece. But I think it can be a good gift when you visit a friend or something. It does taste pretty good!
